About Us
Brownwood's Lyric Theatre is a performing arts venue as well as a performing company. The Lyric produces nine plays/musicals a year as well as hosts private businesses and/or organizations for meetings, movies, private parties, etc. The theatre seats 367 in a historical theatre built in 1914. The theatre was reopened in 2014 with over $4 million dollars in private investment as a state of the arts theatre. The Lyric Performing Arts Company is a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization that owns and operates the facility in Historic Downtown Brownwood.
